Tickets
There are a limited number of tickets for this event. Tickets are free to book and will be available on a first come, first serve basis. However, there will be a £5 deposit fee to guarantee attendance on the day which will be refunded to you after the trip.
If you can no longer attend, please let us know at studentopps@chester.ac.uk no later than 48 hours before the trip or your deposit will not be refunded.

Departure Point
We will be departing at 8am from the Small Hall car park, Exton Park (C4, 24 on the campus map).
This pick-up takes place at the time stated on the website and on your ticket. A more detailed explanation of the pickup spot is provided with your ticket. We advise that you arrive 15 minutes before the departure time as indicated in the above itinerary to allow enough time for the trip leaders to check everyone's tickets.
What to bring
As weather in the UK can be unpredictable, we advise you to always wear appropriate clothing to anticipate rain and cold weather. Food is not provided on the trips; however, you are more than welcome to bring along pack lunches or to purchase refreshments at your destination. Please note that hot food is not permitted on the minibus at any time.

The University's minibus is wheelchair accessible.

PLEASE NOTE THAT NO MONEY CAN BE REFUNDED IF YOU DO NOT SHOW UP ON THE DAY OF THE TRIP OR ARE LATE AND MISS THE COACH.
CSU STAFF CANNOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE, LOSS, OR INJURY SUSTAINED BY PARTICIPANTS ON TRIPS.

1. Bookings
• The trip is free and open to current enrolled students.
• Spaces are allocated on a first-come, first served basis and requires prior booking.
• You must provide accurate information when registering. We may cancel a place if eligibility can’t be verified.
• Participants must be 18+ unless otherwise stated; under-18s are not permitted without written consent and approved supervision arrangements.
2. Cancellation policy
• If you can no longer attend, you must notify studentopps@chester.ac.uk at least 48 hours before departure to make the trip available to students on the waiting list.
• Failure to cancel within the stated timeframe or not attending without notice may result in the loss of eligibility for future free trips for the rest of term.
• In the event CSU cancels the trip (due to safety, transport issues, or unforeseen circumstances), we will notify participants as soon as possible via email.
• As the trip is free, no financial compensation will be provided for cancellations or changes, but we will make reasonable efforts to reschedule where possible.
3. Behaviour & Conduct
• Participants are expected to always behave respectfully and responsibly.
• Any behaviour that causes harm, distress, or disruption to others may result in removal from the trip.
• You must comply with instructions given by trip leaders, staff, or venue representatives, failure to do so may result in removal from the activity or trip.
• The use of illegal substances or excessive alcohol is strictly prohibited.
4. Travel & Accommodation
• All travel arrangements will be outlined in your trip information pack. You are responsible for arriving on time at meeting points.
• Chester Students’ Union is not responsible for loss, damage, or theft of personal items during the trip.
5. Health & Safety
• You must inform us of any relevant medical conditions, allergies, or accessibility needs at the time of booking.
• You are responsible for bringing any medication or personal items you may require.
• In the event of illness or emergency, trip leaders will assist but are not medical professionals. Emergency services will be contacted if needed.
6. Accessibility
• For all accessibility needs, please email us at studentopps@chester.ac.uk, and include which trip you are attending alongside the date. We will try to accommodate the best we can.
• For longer journeys, we will provide comfort breaks.
• Some venues or transport options may have limitations beyond our control; we’ll communicate constraints in advance where known.
7. Photos & Media
• Photos and videos may be taken during trips for promotional use. Please let a member of staff know if you prefer not to be included.
8. Changes to the Trip
• Itinerary details (e.g. timings, venues, activities) may change due to unforeseen circumstances. We will aim to inform you of changes in advance.
• We reserve the right to adjust or cancel elements of the trip in the interest of safety, logistics, or participant welfare.
9. Liability
• While we take reasonable steps to ensure safety and enjoyment, participation in trips is at your own risk.
• CSU is not liable for injuries, losses, or delays caused by third parties (e.g. transport companies, accommodation providers) or unforeseen events (e.g. weather, strikes).
• CSU holds its own public liability insurance, covering officially organised and supervised off-campus activities.
10. Agreement
By joining a trip, you confirm that:
• You have read, understood, and agree to these terms.
• You accept responsibility for your own behaviour and belongings during the trip.
• You will follow the guidance of trip leaders and contribute to a safe and inclusive group environment.
