CSU Presents Band & Beats! Newbanchez + Jenny Jones + Silent Disco with DJ's
Get ready for a night of dancing to bangers at Chester Students’ Union takeover of the Union Bar with 'Bands & Beats' a special band night and silent disco that you won't want to miss. Tickets £2 on the door.
The night opens with a performance by a talented local pop singer Jenny Jones. Then, Newbanchez, a 4-piece cover band who were recently students at University of Chester will take the stage with a high-energy setlist featuring the best of reggae, blues , pop and rock from the 1960s to today. Expect a mix of anthems and hits that will have you singing along and dancing all night long.
From 10:30pm to midnight, the party continues with a unique twist—a Silent Disco! Grab a pair of headphones and switch between two channels, as two local DJs spin a mix of pop, R&B, indie, and dance across two rooms.
Limited capacity to 100, so grab your friends and arrive early to secure entry and make it a night to remember!

- Booking: Tickets will be available on the door only. There will be no advanced tickets.
- Cost: Tickets are £2
- Capacity: The event is limited to 100 capacity so please arrive early to secure your ticket.
- Re-Entry: Rentry will not be permitted as it will be a one in one out system.
- There is a wheelchair and accessible ramp at the main entrance to the Union Bar.
- There is one accessible toilet available in the Union Bar.
- There are two female toilets and two male toilets in the Union Bar.
- We welcome assistance dogs and can provide water on request. No dogs except assistance dogs will be able to attend this event.
- There will be no strobe lighting, however there may be some flashing lights.
- Security searches: The venue may have to conduct security searches to ensure attendees' safety. Refusal to allow a search to be conducted will result in non-entry to the venue.
- Alchohol: No alcohol is to be brought onto the premises during the event; any alcohol not purchased from the bar will be confiscated and disposed of.
- ID may be requested by bar staff in accordance with check25 policy.
- Photos may be taken during this event. Contact studentopps@chester.ac.uk for any questions about content captured at this event.
- Drinking water will be provided upon request.
- Ask Angela: People who feel unsafe, vulnerable or threatened can discreetly seek help by approaching bar staff and asking them for ‘Angela’. This code-phrase will indicate to staff that you require help with your situation and a trained member of staff will then look to support and assist you.
- Security: There will be security at the event on the night who are also there to provide support and assistance.
- Anti-Spiking: Anti-spiking StopTopps will be available at the bar.
